Peace House is glad to welcome renowned spiritual teacher and refugee advocate, the Venerable Khenpo Pema Wangdak from the Palden Sakya Center in New York City. A Tibetan Buddhist Monk of the Sakya School, Khenpo Pema was sent to the United States in 1989 by His Holiness the Sakya Trizin, and has worked ever since as a teacher of the dharma and an international humanitarian, for which he won the Ellis Island Medal of Honor in 2009.
